A good friend of mine will become a great-grandmother
August. We were talking about our collection
of handkerchiefs. She was telling me
that she has her grandmother’s and great-grandmother’s hankies. Together we came up with the idea to make a baby
quilt using the hankies. Before starting
the quilt, I wanted to make sure that the handkerchiefs would quilt okay. To test this out, I made a table runner out
of some of my own handkerchiefs. The
table runner quilted wonderfully. I used
a daisy edge to edge pattern using a silver gray thread. I can't wait to start the baby quilt. What a wonderful keepsake it is going to be
for her great-grandchild!
